Instructions for Presenters
Special requests for Lectures
Please provide an electronic version of slides to the staff one day prior to the lecture. The workshop will provide a handout of the slides.
The workshop will provide a computer running a Japanese version of Microsoft Windows with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and Adobe Reader X installed. Lecture will be in Microsoft PowerPoint format or Adobe PDF format.
All oral presenters are requested to upload an electronic version
of their presentation to the workshop computer prior to the start of
the session. The presentation file must be on a USB stick.
Presenters may use their own computers for presentation if they
would like. Please check if their computers work well with the
projector before the session starts.
The workshop will provide a computer running a Japanese version of
Microsoft Windows with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and Adobe Reader X
installed. Presentation will be in Microsoft
PowerPoint format or Adobe
PDF format. If oral presenters prepare their presentations
on a non-Japanese Microsoft Windows, or if they use some special
fonts, it is recommended to save their PowerPoint or PDF
presentations with True Type fonts embedded.
Each oral presentation (excluding the organized session, O-8 and O-9) is permitted 20 minutes (15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions). Please do not forget to keep 5 minutes for discussion.
Posters will be allocated a space of 170 cm high by 90 cm wide. Please be advised that the lower half of poster boards is unsuitable for presentation.
N.B. All the poster presenters are requested to give a 2-minute talk in the poster short presentation session 11:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. No questions or discussion is planned during the short presentation sessions.
All poster presenters are requested to submit an electronic version of their presentation no later than March 3rd, 2014 (11:59 PM, JST, firm) by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Poster presenters should mount their materials before the start of session, 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 6th, and remove them by 10:10 a.m. on Friday, March 7th. The poster boards will be available after 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th.
